Science is organized knowledge.
Wisdom is organized life.
Immanuel Kant
The Civil Services Exam is inherently different from the school, College & University Exams. It has been designed with a specific objective in mind. On the face of it, the civil services exam may look like an exam divided into three stages: the objective type preliminary test, the descriptive type main exam and the personality test or interview. However, in reality, all these stages complement each other; and when seen as one, the exam is aimed at testing a candidate's administrative traits and his ability to hold the office in the elite services of the nation. However, a vast majority of civil services aspirants and also those teaching them various subjects never realize this special need of this exam. Even those who become aware of this fact do not know how to fulfill this need. As a result they prepare for the civil services exam as if it were just another college/university exam. Due to such unique conditions and other pressure-mounting circumstances, many otherwise intelligent, hard-working and meritorious students fail to crack the civil services exam. So on many occasions the results throw shocks and surprises.
The civil services exam reqiures a candidate to adopt an altogether different strategy.
Having unraveled this mystery long back, Mr. A. K. Mishra put in his best efforts in further research and analysis of factors behind failure and success oaf his students. Mr. Mishra studied his students' profiles for 18 long years. He made a thorough analysis of their educational, socio-cultural, and economic backgrounds, and behaviour-patterns, response-mechanisms and reaction-styles. Having established a correlation between the internal programming of the human brain and the resultant ability of the individual to achieve a certain measure of success, Mr. Mishra found that success is an art that can be learnt and taught by using specially designed programmes. From this understanding and further research, Mr. Mishra developed two unique programmes – A.K.Mishra's Art of Success and A.K.Mishra's Human Software Development Programme. These programmes lay bare the secret of achieving success with utmost surety. All the other courses at Chanakya IAS Academy are based on this philosophy.
- A.K. Mishra's
The Art of Success
You are what your deep driving desire is;
As your deep driving desire is, so is your will;
As your will is so is your deed;
As your deed is so is your destiny.
– The Upanishads
Further, keeping the varied needs of students and the various stages of Civil Services Exam in mind, the experts at Chanakya IAS Academy, have scientifically designed the following training-cum-guidance programmes. These programmes are designed to suit the level, aptitude and aspirations of all types of students. A brief introduction to these programmes appears in the following pages.
Life is a journey. In fact, success too is a journey and a destination in itself. Success gives meaning and purpose to the journey of life. Being successful is an inalienable right of every human being. Our being born on the earth is not an accident but it is a deliberate effort to plan and position us on the earth for certain purposes. God does not intend to make some of his creations successful and others a failure. It is we who choose our path consciously on unconsciously towards success or failure.
Thus, those who believe in their potentials and not depend on their destiny ultimately succeed. Because, our actions determine our destiny. Our deeds are determined by our will, which is shaped by our deep driving desire. We are born with unlimited potentials and tremendous power to achieve our chosen goals. Getting success depends not only on our desire to succeed but also on our willingness to make efforts for realising it. Those who realise this and take the right steps, succeed in creating favourable circumstances for his success. As mentioned in the Bible,
”Whatever you sow, that you reap”.
This sowing takes place nowhere outside, but inside our brain. We get what we aspire for. We get what we feed our mind with. In fact, our outer world is just the reflection of our inner world.
That is why it is said,
"Whatever our mind can conceive, it can also achieve."
We are trained right from our childhood how to walk, talk, behave, study and work for career. But, unfortunately, we are not trained how to train & run our brain which runs everything for us. The present programme fulfils this vacuum in our life by teaching us the art of reshaping the software of success.
In fact, success depends on mastering the art of success. This art transforms a hard-working person to a smart-working person. This is the central theme of A.K. Mishra's Art of Success.
A. K. Mishra's Art of Success for the Civil Services Exam is a customized programme to train the human mind to achieve the desired result.
The programme aims at developing the right kind of traits and making them a part and parcel of the trainee's personality. Because, while studying on the pattern of the school/college/university exams a student develops a good knowledge base but he also acquires software that might have helped him in the above-mentioned exams; but, the scheme & orientation of civil services exam is such that it does not test a candidate's knowledge but his wisdom for handling the administrative challenges.
One does not have to study entirely new things while preparing for the civil services exam. In fact, the same matter that has been studied at the school & college level has to be studied and understood from a different perspective for the civil services exam too. It only requires a different framework of mind. The difference, thus, is that of an academic framework and an administrative framework. With the help of A. K. Mishra's Human Software Development Technique the students are trained to power up their brains with administrative traits which would help them in perceiving, analysing, interpreting and approaching any issue or problem with a difference. This programme, which is based on A. K. Mishra's Human Software Development Programme, installs and develops the software of success within the trainee's personality. It teaches you the art of war before you go on to the battlefield. In fact, it enriches your personality, upgrades your skills and enables you to win each battle in your mind before you win it on the ground.
This programme offers a life-time solution to all the problems of life by addressing the roots of the problems. So, one can master not only the art of success but also that of happiness, peace and sustained growth on a permanent basis. This programme is for those who want to do something extraordinary in life.
In short,
A. K. Mishra's Art of Success is for anybody
and everybody who wants to be somebody in life.

Interview Guidance Programme
Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices, but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence and fulfills the duty to express the results of his thought in clear form.
'Interview' is one of the most crucial & determining stages of the Civil Services Examination. It carries 300 marks, which are decisive for a candidate's ultimate success. In fact, the final ranking and allotment of premiere services depends, to a large extent, on the marks scored in the interview.
Interview is aimed at testing a candidate's mental alertness, clear & logical exposition, balance of judgment, variety & depth of interest, ability for social cohesion & leadership, intellectual & moral integrity. These different stages test different traits & qualities. In general, these qualities are referred to as 'Administrative Traits'. Apart from these a candidate's social traits and soft-skills are also tested through interview.
Chanakya's 'Inerview Guidance Programme' is unique and one of its kind. Here, scientific techniques are used to instill self-confidence in the candidate and develop his expressions & communication skills. A series of lectures & talks by experts on important topics are arranged which go a long way in building his confidence. Thereafter, three mock-interviews (for each candidate) are conducted under simulated conditions. The interview panels consist of retired civil servants, personality experts, psychologists, subject-experts and the Director of the Academy. Each interview is video-recorded, which is shown to the candidates in the presence of experts. Based on his performance in the mock-interviews, a thorough feedback and valuable suggestions are given to the candidate. Other candidates can also watch live as well as recorded interviews so as to learn from others' mistakes as well as their techniques.
The interview Guidance programme of the Academy has helped candidates to score marks upto 247. In the Civil Services Examination 2002, Academy's student Ankur Garg scored 240 marks in interview and ranked first in order of merit. Three more candidates, namely, Mayank Joshi, Amrita Soni, Pooja Kulkarni scored 240 marks.
The successful candidates of Civil Services Examination 2001 namely Manish Ranjan, Sigy Thomas and M. Imkongla Jamir who secured all India rank 4th, 16th and 65th respectively were trained by Chanakya IAS Academy and all of them scored 225 marks in interview. In addition to them, a large number of students of the academy scored more than 200 marks in interview and have finally been selected. Similar are the results of Civil Services Examination 2003, 2004, 2005 & 2006.
